Balika Vadhu Star Annup Sonii Calls It 'Sad' That The Show's Director Is Selling Vegetables To Make Ends Meet; Says Team Is Getting In Touch

Coronavirus has made life difficult for all. From migrants to daily wage earners, there are a lot of people suffering physically, mentally, and financially. One such story is of Ram Vriksha Gaur - one of the directors of Television's hit show Balika Vadhu. It was recently reported that the director is selling vegetables in Azamgarh district to make ends meet. To news agency IANS, he stated that he went to Azamgarh to do the recce for his film, however, as lockdown got imposed, the film came to a halt. He then took up his father's business of selling vegetables on a handcart. As the news went viral on social media, Annup Sonii who played a pivotal role in Balika Vadhu reacted to it.

On a news report, Annup Sonii called the situation of Ram Vriksha Gaur sad and also stated that the team of the TV show is getting in touch with the director to offer him help. He wrote, "Our Balika vadhu team got to know and getting in touch with him to help." Details of the help extended by the Balika Vadhu team to Ram Vriksha Gaur are yet to emerge. Talking about his journey, the director had said, "I went to Mumbai in 2002 with the help of my friend and writer Shahnawaz Khan. I worked in the light department and then in the production department of TV serials. I became an assistant director in the production of many serials first, then worked as the episode director and unit director for 'Balika Vadhu'."

Another member of Balika Vadhu who was recently in news is Dadi Sa, played by Surekha Sikri. The senior actor suffered a brain stroke and was hospitalised. Thankfully her condition improved and she was discharged.
